Dreamy Gradients

Dreamy Gradients is a set of light, pastel coloured, soft gradients for Photoshop in .grd format. I have provided some examples below to show how these gradients affect different images with different Blending Modes and Opacities. Any preset gradients are open to adjustment using the sliders on the Gradient Overlay settings, so go ahead and play around to find different effects. Dreamy Gradient 2

I thought this had a beautiful effect on this image, leaving the oranges almost the same, and changing the greys to browns and pink.

Gradient Overlay:

  • Blend Mode: Linear Light
  • Opacity: 25%
  • Style: Linear Reverse
  • Angle: 65°

Changing this image from a dull looking afternoon to a purple-ish twilight.

Dreamy Gradient 9

This was a surprise effect, this gradient made the black and white photo into a sepia image. I added an old paper texture after applying the gradient.

Gradient Overlay:

  • Opacity: 65%
  • Style: Linear Reverse
  • Angle: 90°
