PSD colouring files can help you to understand how adjustment layers work and the effects they have. Don’t be afraid to change the settings and/or the opacity and blending mode to see what they do. Dark and Purple PSD Colouring

This colouring file darkens the image and adds a lot of purple. You can reduce the amount of purple by removing the Channel Mixer adjustment layer. I show both examples below.

Soft and Blue PSD

Soft and Blue PSD adds a lot of blue, and softens the image a little. If you don’t like quite so much blue, removing the Selective Color 2 adjustment layer will take much of it away. In the examples below, I show the effects of both with that layer, and without.
