Free Photoshop Gradients – Nature
A set of free Photoshop Gradients in colours inspired by nature. Free download.
Nature Gradients
This set of 12 gradients for Photoshop is quite loosely based on the colours of nature in all its glory. As always with gradients, you can create some amazing results on your photos and images by using different blend modes and adjusting the sliders or even deleting one or more of the colours from the gradient. They are very versatile! Free download, the button is after the showcase.
Gradients Used For Examples
The image below shows the gradients I have used for the showcase.
Nature Walk
This earthy coloured gradient has many applications. I have used it here to bring brightness and focus to the flowers and butterfly in this image. It almost adds a vignette – although you are only seeing half of it in the example below. The Gradient Overlay settings I used are:
- Blend Mode: Hard Light
- Opacity: 40%
- Style: Radial
- Angle: 45°
- Scale: 100%

Raindrops
This gradient lightens the image and in this case, it moves the day on, probably by about 30 minutes to an hour. It shows more detail on the boats, which become brighter with this gradient applied. The Gradient Overlay settings are:
- Blend Mode: Overlay
- Opacity: 75%
- Style: Linear
- Angle: 90°
- Scale: 100%

Ripening Raspberry
I love this feather image, and this gradient changes the colour from blue to pink and it completely neutralizes the background. The Gradient Overlay settings are:
- Blend Mode: Color
- Opacity: 60%
- Style: Radial Reverse
- Angle: 90°
- Scale: 150%

Evening Cornflower
As you would expect, this gradient gives the image an overall blue tone. The foreground is slightly darkened and the background is lightened, the mist is still a feature of the image. The Gradient Overlay settings are:
- Blend Mode: Overlay
- Opacity: 60%
- Style: Linear
- Angle: 90°
- Scale: 100%

Misty Sunrise
The effect of this gradient on the following image is to strip out a lot of the blue tones, which gives a sharpened effect. It darkens the image a little, whilst also bringing out some more detail. The Gradient Overlay settings I used are:
- Blend Mode: Color Burn
- Opacity: 80%
- Style: Linear
- Angle: 90°
- Scale: 150%
